electrical coils for a breaker of some kind. the plastic cases i made, shot them in the injection molder. and they're 2 pieces that get glued together. then the boss winds and wires them. there are 4 windings, 4 terminals and a rectifier in side of them. then i encapsulate them. which is what the picture is of. i had just finished pouring them. start to finish it takes us about a week to make those things. currently we think we're the only ones re-manufacturing these things in world. they sell for over a thousand dollars each and we just filled an order for 10 of them

Holy cow! Are they in higher demand or was it just a fluke thing that you got contracted to do 10?

Re: A day in the life...

kind of a fluke. normally people only order one, maybe two at a time. we have had people order 4 at a time. but 10 of those at a time is unheard of. idk where they shipped to, but somebody must have 10 breakers down right now.
we usually don't see orders that size. normally 5 or 6 of something is a large order. but when there is a natural disaster somewhere in the US we get larger orders like this. so something must have gone down somewhere.

New-to-you home improvement is the best improvement!

We did a little bit of our own over the last week. I converted a closet on the first floor to a washer/dryer/utility alcove. Prior to that, I carried laundry between the basement and second floor. We thought a laundry location on the first floor would be more appealing to a prospective new owner.
