Oh boy, I've been slacking! Time to catch up!
I found this while at a plant nursery after a Dr. appt. over in Chattanooga:
Time for a new derailleur :
Took Chloe and her friend to the Lost Sea caverns, it's a guided trip down into a huge system with a boat ride in an underground lake at the bottom:
While waiting for our tour to start, we went exploring and found an old scale kids train that was powered by a flathead Ford. The tracks were still throughout the woods although the train hadn't been used by the place for over 50 years.
We always catch these guys on the way out of the house but today they were extra brave:

I've really been contemplating picking up some old consoles on eBay to play around with. I was never big on them, I was a PC fanatic but there were some fun times to be had on them. Sonic and Crash Bandicoot were a fave of mine.

go for it. or if you want to save a few bucks. pick up the SNES classic and hack it. it's supposed to be easy (i haven't tried it yet), you can add whatever SNES (or even convert it to NES) game you want. you can pick one up for $80 brand spanking new. probably do the same with the genesis mini (haven't looked into hacking it yet)
im an old school gamer. currently have 8 consoles, 4 different types of gameboy, sega nomad, and the SNES classic and now the sega mini shown above. added up, probably about 400 games total.
and now that i say this im like
...if only i still had the stacks of game pro and nintendo power magazines from the 90's...
if you want to buy actual consoles without worry, DKoldies.com i buy from them often.

Re: A day in the life...
so yesterday i was laying down some killer solders
but there was practice runs for the Huntington Beach air show so there were jets leaving Los Alamitos (which is up the street) so you have to keep running to the door to see the Red Arrows, Thunderbirds, Snowbirds, F34, and A10 fly over and set off car alarms, and wish the camera on your flip phone wasn't crappy but even though it is crappy, you're pissed you missed the opportunity to take a pic of the C17

I took some basement debris to the dump and realized that the landfill has one of the nicest views I'm the area.

Wow, dude! What a haul! I haven't found anything like that yet. My finds are usually flawed pretty badly for other people not to bid them up.
