Well, my latest paint job was far from being as accurate as yours.
Simply painted the flanges of the new heater hose connectors for the Bug...

i don't really collect controllers. that's just one of the controllers for the NES hooked up out in the garage. i got board and painted it and detailed the arrows on the D pad. looks cool though so...

gotta do something, im off work for 2 weeks been building model cars as well. got stuff going together for the sake of putting stuff together. the good news, i might be able to eliminate a box in the garage pretty soon. the bad news, i have nowhere to display the cars once they're built
