Wow, really? I think it's amazing but I didn't think that would cost that much.

pretty sure that started out as an HPI Baja 5B, which is a 1/5 scale. car alone is/was around $1000, plus all the aftermarket stuff, and i see a lot of aluminum. also willing to bet the engine has been changed. and there's probably a pipe attached to it. plus all the radio gear.

Just spotted the project page: https://www.rcdriver.com/attack-of-the-killer-baja-beetle/

new body and wheels for the HPI Nitro RS4 2

Nice! 8-)
Where do you drive (race?) it?
Some isolated parking lot, club race track?
Back in the day I had a rarely used soccer field nearby.
Worked well for about 30 minutes or so, before the first rubbernecks appeared. :D
mostly empty parking lots. there's a church i pass on my to and from work i stop at, nice big empty parking lot. im away from the building and people and it's off any main road so i don't get any rubberneckers or riffraff.
all finished. the pic's don't really do the color justice. it's called pearl arctic blue. i was expecting something a little more silvery, but in person it's really blue. but it looks pretty cool with the flames (stickers) and black wheels.

im think the other 2 of you can read this. 1/10 scale kafer cup https://brcnews.net/?p=15869
Agreed with the neighbor to start his 1/24 scale outdoor railway project on an unused part of our garden plot...
There are plans to build a whole village with many details and cool model cars too...

Holy cow, that's going to be so cool! I hope you share build details somewhere!
Update on the outdoor railway project:
It's still under construction but the guys did some cool detail work by now.
Learned they even plan to construct a 6' mountain  with a tunnel which will serve as sort of a fiddle yard.
A few impressions...
cool
Wow, that's pretty incredible! I especially love the pop-culture stuff like Shag and Scoob, BTtF Delorean, etc. That's such a well-done diarama.
been doing some painting.

3 year off and on project finally finished. 71 Hemi Cuda

That looks fantastic, you must have a very steady hand.
