I think it looks great and you've got like the cleanest quarter windows I've ever seen :)

Dude, that looks great! Are you going to tackle the rear window in the same manner?

Re: the never ending project. 71 super build

yeah, but im probably going to have to wait for warmer weather though. i only have medium temp reducer so the paint/clear dry's super slow and it's reached the point of getting cold enough at night that i don't want to leave the windows out.
so i think next on the list is going to be the windshield sense i shouldn't have to do any paint work other than brushing on the POR15

The weather is biting cold here right now(feels like 23 right now) making working on it outside nearly impossible. Are you going to get some temps warm enough sometime soon to allow you to knock it out or are you stuck until next year before you can do it?

Re: the never ending project. 71 super build

ok, alright, ok. uhhh... so the POS assembled 1600 is now slightly less than a short block. im taking it apart sense im not going to use it cause the crank end play is whacked, and after yanking the pistons out today i found that the rods have excessive side play. so anyway.
iv had an aluminum case, new CB crank, CB super race rods, CB lightened flywheel, and a good set of forged 90.5 pistons in the garage for well over a year now. so the junker is apart and coming off the stand and mock up will begin on the new 1776 sometime in the coming weeks. heads will be ordered and hopefully this motivation will stick around for a while

these are actually concaved! and the 3 worst ones are upside down. they also make a nice rattling sound when you shake them.

and i think i found my oil leak. this would explain why the top of the case is covered in oil.
