Re: Imagery...

Not that I'll ever have to tempt myself but I don't think I could ever do that to a real one. If I had that kind of money, I'd probably build a clone.

I wouldn't want to own a real one but I would love to see one in person and touch it once or twice.

Re: Imagery...

i wouldn't mind having a real one. id drive that sucker to. although probably not on the freeway. scary enough in a modern vehicle. not sure my ass is capable of puckering tight enough to drive a heb on a so cal freeway.
and iv got nothing against the slammed ones, hell i actually think they're cool. swap out the beam, adjust the torsion bars and your back up to stock height in a weekend. no big deal

Re: Imagery...

I love the slammed beetles but am not a fan of the camber on the rear wheels, partly because I'm cheap and I hate the thought of eating half of the tire apart then having to pay to have the tire mounted in reverse on the rims just to do the same again.. I am really considering raising the engine on mine to try to minimize it.

That and I'd love airbags but that's also out of my price range. In wonder if you could achieve the same affect with air shocks?
