Re: Local VW Club North West VW Club
Being remote sounds nice and my wife and I have a goal of living outside a small town somewhere on some land if we can. It sounds like you are really remote so I assume its a long drive to a town where any VW event might happen especially if people don't want free stuff your giving away due to the d...

Local VW Club North West VW Club
I am part of this old but small VW club here locally.
Recently the guy who creates/hosts a local car show called the Vintage Vehicle Show joined the club, he has a VW Bus.
We are hoping to convince him he needs to feature more old VW's on is show

Re: the never ending project. 71 super build
That's not good about the Prius hitting your Bug but nice work fixing and painting that, it looks new. Good video too. Nice truck and the same thing happened to me when I got my first nice truck after owning/driving only a Bug. I totally lost interest in the bug for awhile since I had a car that wor...

Re: the never ending project. 71 super build
Cool.
I always thought your paint looked really good and still cant believe you did parts at home and the body yourself, same as Greg did with his LPHV setup.
Painting larger things is the one part of VW work I have never done but wish I could do myself.

Re: Build: Zippy the Wonderbug
Nice work.
JB super weld for a steering wheel?
Does it fill in the cracks and then you sand it smooth and you can paint it?
Just curious as I never thought about using it on a steering wheel.

Re: any old addiction forum OG's?
Wow 1700!?! There were that many registered users? Glad a few did actually register out of that, my guess is it is people like me who do not like FB as a format for information exchange/help. Forums seem to be drying up and several local ones in my area went away over the years. I will send Nate a n...

Re: any old addiction forum OG's?
Some may have not like what you are doing but I thought it was great you put time into keeping the site going. Hey Randy, hope you have been well and hello again Json. I am still around and up to 3 Bugs and a Notchback and a 1962 Ford Fairlane. Recently I have been fixing mechanical issues on my fir...

The Dark Side
I have stepped into the the other part of the car hobby and brought home a 1962 Ford Fairlane 500 4 door. It's a one owner car and has been garaged the past twenty years. There is a small amount of surface rust on a couple spots I plan to sand and repaint, otherwise everything else is in good shape ...

My Bug is in the LeMay Museum!!
It was selected from over 500 submissions to the LeMay Auto museum in Tacoma Washington for a VW exhibit. VW even brought over a very early Bug and Bus for the display. They extended the displays run time two months as it was so popular. I pick my Bug up at the end of May. Here is a link to a local ...
