Re: Build: Zippy the Wonderbug
Nice work. With all you have going on that is great progress! It takes alot of time, commitment, and especially discipline and motivation to do all that work. Hopefully you will get the body back on the pan soon so you will be able to tow it to your new home All the work you did makes me feel like a...

Re: Build: Zippy the Wonderbug
Good luck with everything and for sure get an AC when you setup your workshop there.
Hopefully the house prices in Fla are not thru the roof.
I was using IE at the time and with Chrome I do not have the Audio option and I think you are right that it is a browser setting.
Still kind of cool.

Re: The Berlin Buick
That is one very nicely built VW Bug with a lot of custom details.
I would never have thought leaving the metal exposed on the inside driver/passenger foot areas/firewall could look good but they did a great job doing so on this Bug.

Re: Models and RC cars
Nice videos @Super_Randy. The drag car just disappeared and the cars on the full size race track are practically impossible to even see! I grew up with only the HO/small hot wheels sized cars. When I was a small kid I remember my Dad brought us to a place that had a big track like in the video and v...

Re: Build: Zippy the Wonderbug
Sounds like you have a full plate! Are you moving there for work or did you just have enough of your current location? Florida would be a nice sunny change for sure and sounds nice, and I hope you do get Zippy done enough to take with you along with all the extra VW bits we all seem to collect over ...

Re: Build: Zippy the Wonderbug
Hey Schwin, It must be cold rainy and depressing in your area as it looks like Zippy has been hibernating. For me, during the winter time I can barley motivate myself to do any VW work at all even just driving it.. Too cold, way to wet, and the grey is just depressing. Are you planning to work on Zi...

Cool slot cars but that scale is huge. Do you have some customer track they run on?

Re: 1965 Sea Blue Bug - Parents bought new in 1964
That would have been nice to find original Red seats still on under the aftermarket covers. I did finish the muffler install and the Bug drives a little better and much quieter. It only slowly crept up to 50mph on a long 25mph road on the test drive so I think I need to give it a tune up to get the ...

Re: 1965 Sea Blue Bug - Parents bought new in 1964
I am psycing myself up to finish all the easy parts that are left but even 3 cups of coffee has not done the job yet. But the day is not over! It makes me feel good knowing the more difficult parts are done and if it was not for my "might as well kick back today and relax since I need to go to ...

1965 Sea Blue Bug - Parents bought new in 1964
I will post some pictures soon and thought I would start a thread for the work I do on each VW. It might be a few weeks between posts as getting time to work on the VW's is difficult at times. Today I installed the new muffler and have most things back together. I need to put the tail pipes on and c...
